AprilAire 210 vs 213: which 20x25x4 media filter

AprilAire 210 and 213 are the same physical filter for AprilAire whole-house air purifiers labeled 20x25x4. The difference is MERV: 210 is MERV 11, 213 is MERV 13. Both print the same official actual size. They are not a drop-in for a Honeywell F100/F200 FC100A1037 cartridge — see the size note below, then the generic 20x25x4 size page for Honeywell / Filtrete / Nordic Pure cuts.

Same size, different MERV

AprilAire’s own product pages list identical nominal and actual measurements for both models. The part number picks the efficiency band, not the cabinet fit.

Unlike most 1-inch furnace panels, this actual is larger than the nominal 20×25 face — do not order a Honeywell ~19.88 × 24.88 × 4.38 cartridge for an AprilAire cabinet.

Which cabinets they fit

Both 210 and 213 are listed for AprilAire whole-house air purifiers 1210, 1620, 2210, 2216, 3210, and 4200. With upgrade kit 1213, they also fit AprilAire / Space-Gard 2120 and 2200. Official pages also list UV12 and UV22. Check the label on the cabinet door before you order.

Related AprilAire SKUs you may see in search (not this page’s buy table): 213CBN (MERV 13 + carbon), 216 (MERV 16), and the newer UK213 TriPure kit that replaces 213 with different rails and a different published actual (~21.44 × 27 × 3.68). If your box says UK213, do not assume a classic 213 is the same cartridge.

MERV 11 vs MERV 13 (facts only)

MERV is ASHRAE 52.2, as summarized by EPA. Higher MERV captures a larger share of smaller particles and adds resistance. A media MERV 13 is not HEPA. We do not claim health outcomes.

Not a Honeywell 20x25x4 swap

• AprilAire 210 / 213 — published actual 20.6 × 26.63 × 4 for AprilAire / Space-Gard cabinets listed above.
• Honeywell FC100A1037 (F100/F200 media) — published actual about 19.88 × 24.88 × 4.38. Different face size and depth.
• Nordic Pure “20x25x4” — often about 19.5 × 24.5 × 3.63 — again a different cut.

If the old filter is stamped AprilAire 210 or 213, order that model (or the UK213 path if you already upgraded rails). If the old filter is a Honeywell FC100A1037, stay on the 20x25x4 Honeywell-class page.
