AprilAire 216 is the MERV 16 sister to 210 (MERV 11) and 213 (MERV 13) for AprilAire whole-house air purifiers labeled 20×25×4. Official actual size is the same: 20.6 × 26.63 × 4. It is not a 1″ furnace return panel, not a Honeywell FC100A1037 FC100A1029 drop-in without checking depth and face, not a humidifier water panel, and not ductless mini-split mesh. AprilAire lists 216 for whole-house air purifiers 1210, 1620, 2210, 2216, 3210, and 4200. With upgrade kit 1213, it also fits AprilAire / Space-Gard 2120 and 2200. Official pages also list UV12 and UV22. Check the label on the cabinet door before you order.

Same physical cartridge family as 210 / 213 — the part number picks the MERV band, not a different cabinet size. Related SKUs you may see in search (not this page’s buy table): 213CBN (MERV 13 + carbon) and the newer UK213 TriPure kit that replaces 213 with different rails and a different published actual (~21.44 × 27 × 3.68). If your box says UK213, do not assume a classic 216 / 213 / 210 is the same cartridge.

  • AprilAire 216 (and 210 / 213) — published actual 20.6 × 26.63 × 4 for AprilAire / Space-Gard cabinets listed above.
  • Honeywell FC100A1037 (F100/F200 media) — published actual about 19.88 × 24.88 × 4.38. Different face size and depth. Model page: FC100A1037 FC100A1029.
  • Nordic Pure “20x25x4” — often about 19.5 × 24.5 × 3.63 — again a different cut. Generic size hub: 20x25x4.

If the old filter is stamped AprilAire 216, order 216 (or confirm the cabinet still uses classic rails, not UK213). If the old filter is a Honeywell FC100A1037, use that model page — do not force an AprilAire cartridge into a Honeywell cabinet without measuring.

  • Do not assume MERV 16 is always better — higher MERV adds pressure drop; get HVAC tech OK if upgrading from 210 / 213.
